a team of professionals at your disposal

MIREC,

a team of professionals at your disposal

Who are we?

Since 1991, the Regional Mission for Integration and Employment in Charleroi (MIREC asbl) has worked with a broad partnership to promote the socio-professional integration of a low-skilled and vulnerable population.

The purpose of our association is to combat exclusion through employment in the Charleroi region.

Our mission: to encourage, undertake, participate or coordinate any action in disadvantaged areas of the Charleroi region, promoting social or professional integration. (Art.2 non-profit association statute MIREC A.G. 01/18/1991)

Partners Association

MIREC, an association of partners

“The integration actions implemented by MIREC consist, in particular, of the organization of support measures and, where applicable, adjustment and training sequences provided as a priority by training operators aimed at matching the skills profiles of beneficiaries to job offers” (Decree of March 19, 2009, art. 2)

In essence, the Regional Mission for Integration and Employment in Charleroi is part of a partnership dynamic.

The structure remains overseen by a board of directors which brings together

The MIREs are part of the cooperation system for integration (decree of the Walloon Government of January 12, 2012). Consequently, MIREC also intervenes in complementarity with the individualized support institutionalized by Forem.

Furthermore, as the last operators of socio-professional integration before employment, the MIREs cannot be content with monitoring, supervising and helping their beneficiaries alone. MIREC devotes a lot of energy to strengthening the links that unite it with integration partners working upstream in order to streamline the journey of job seekers (in continuation of the FSE M.I.R.A.C.L.E project). These good relations allow it, among other things, to multiply concomitant actions and joint interventions. The beneficiaries benefit directly from these synergies.

The strength of the sub-regional partnership constitutes, characterizes and legitimizes the action of MIREC.

In 2025, MIREC benefited from financial support from Wallonia, FOREM, the European Social Fund (ESF+) through the A.L.A.D.In (Links and Support Actions Directed towards Integration) and J.A.S-M.In.E (Youth in Support) projects.

The team

MIREC, a dynamic team whose main mission is to lead you towards sustainable, quality employment

MIREC at the heart of the action thanks to the ESF

As a player in socio-professional integration, we have been committed for years to promoting access to sustainable employment through targeted and adapted actions. Thanks to measures such as alternating training, personalized support and collaboration with employers in our region, we play a decisive role in connecting job seekers and companies. This field work not only facilitates access to employment, but also encourages sustainable and inclusive professional integration.

Between 2023 and 2027, these initiatives will be supported by the European Social Fund (ESF) thanks to 2 operations:

J.A.S-M.In.E (Youth in Specific Support - Employment Integration Measures) which aims to support the acquisition and development of skills for young people, particularly those furthest from employment and young people

with few or no qualifications, as well as their support, their follow-up towards and in employment and to strengthen their link with the world of work.

A tailor-made approach aimed at young people looking for professional benchmarks and concrete tools to enter the job market. The total budget for this operation amounts to €4,633,777.68, including €2,234,435.63 financed by the European Union.

A.L.A.D.In (Links and Support Actions Directed towards Integration) which aims to ensure sustainable integration into employment by supporting the acquisition and development of skills for the most vulnerable and remote populations

of employment as well as their support and monitoring towards and in employment.

A program promoting structured support and the development of pathways to employment. The total budget for this operation amounts to €9,702,799.14, including €4,677,634.73 financed by the European Union.

The support of the FSE allows us to continue and amplify this essential mission, so that each individual has the keys to their professional future.
